GTA 6 is on every player’s mind these days as more and more information starts to leak and surface.
It’s been almost 10 years since GTA V was released and while Rockstar still provides regular updates to GTA Online many would prefer an update on the status of the next game.
The GTA Trilogy remake wasn’t even enough to occupy eager fans, despite giving players three games to enjoy.
So when can we expect GTA 6 to release in the UK?
When Is The GTA 6 Release Date In The UK?
The GTA 6 release date is set to land between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025; this is all on information from a recent Take-Two Interactive investors call.
The company said that “active development for the next entry” is “well underway” and that it will enter its “next phase of growth in Fiscal 2025”.
More recently, Take-Two claimed they will experience a “significant inflection point” and “record levels” of performance in fiscal 2025 (April 2024 – March 2025).
Take-Two also expect GTA V and GTA Online to be their leading money earner for them throughout the next 12 months. This means it’s very probable that GTA 6 will be announced next year with a release in late 2024 to hit peak release time around the holidays.
Tez2, a well-known member of the GTA forums and insider, says that Rockstar’s “aimed-always-changing-not-set-in-stone deadline is holiday 2024, which has been pushed back multiple times [over] the past few years. Unfortunately, it could slip into early 2025 as well.”
Tez2 also mentions that they “personally see an announcement as a given this year. I don’t think the upper management is in a position to delay further to holiday 2025/2026”. Rockstar could meet this deadline by “cutting more potions of the game to package into DLCs to release later on” as it “may be more sustainable for management than delaying further”.
All of this can change and this is a huge window for Rockstar to work with knowing how highly anticipated this game is, they’ll likely use all the time they can get.
The game will have a global launch, meaning the game will launch in the UK at the same time as the rest of the world.
