As we enter the last quarter of the year, the Pokemon TCG is going into a frenzy as the product release schedule is filled with new items, including the new Paradox Powers ex Special Collection.
This exciting and unique product is one of the first of its kind, featuring almost two products in one.
The headliners in this Amazon exclusive product are Koraidon and Miraidon – that’s right, both Legendary Pokemon feature in this one product.
While these two have been featured in many products already in the very short Scarlet and Violet lifespan, they are certainly great Pokemon to highlight particularly in this set.
Here’s all you need to know about the Pokemon TCG Paradox Powers ex Special Collection.
Pokemon TCG Paradox Powers ex Special Collection Release Date

What’s Inside The Pokemon TCG Paradox Powers ex Special Collection?
Here are the contents of the Pokemon TCG Paradox Powers ex Special Collection:
- 5 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 2 ex cards
- 1 oversized ex card
- A code card for Pokémon TCG Live
In terms of packs, we’re looking at one base Scarlet and Violet base pack and two Obsidian Flames packs. Interestingly, the set also features two Astral Radiance packs in the product images.
Occasionally, the pictures that are shown on the images on Amazon aren’t reflective of the final product. It’s an incredibly unusual choice of packs, considering we have three Scarlet and Violet sets to choose from with the product focusing on the new era.
When Scarlet and Violet launched, a number of products included Silver Tempest products which seemed more sensible as it was the last main Sword and Shield set to launch.
The product includes Koraidon and Miraidon ex from the Scarlet and Violet base set, as well as an oversized Cyclizar ex from the Cyclizar ex box.
Is It Worth It?
Personally, I don’t think this product is worth it for what you get.
Astral Radiance was not one of the best Sword and Shield sets, so to have two packs in this product is a shame; given there are lots of products still around that have those packs in them.
If you’re a collector of the Scarlet and Violet base set and haven’t gotten the Koraidon and Miraidon ex cards, this is an easy way to do it. But given they’re not super valuable, you can buy them for cheaper.
