Pokemon GO is entering September and a new Community Day is upon us.

While Pokemon GO’s calendar is very busy with lots of events taking place, Community Day is always a staple event to mark each month.

Last month, players enjoyed a beautiful time in the sun with Froakie.

So what can we expect this year? Here’s all you need to know about the Pokemon GO September Community Day.

Pokemon GO September Community Day Release Date

The September 2023 Community Day should take place in mid-September.

This event will occur from 2PM-5PM local time.

September’s Community Day will feature Grubbin.

Grubbin, when it’s evolved into Vikavolt, will learn a new unique Fast Attack called ‘Volt Switch’.

Grubbin that are evolved into Charjabug during the event will also know Volt Switch

Charjabug, the evolved form of Grubbin, will also appear in four-star raids!

Volt Switch has 12 power in Trainer Battles and 14 power in Gym Battles.

Event Bonuses And Rewards

You can expect the following Event Bonuses:

• 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon
• 2x Candy for catching Pokemon
• 2x Chance for Trainer level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon
• 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
• Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day
• Take a snapshot during Community Day for a surprise!
• You’ll be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.

After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on special four-star Raid Battles featuring Charjabug. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Grubbin to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!

Special Research And Field Research

August Community Day–themed Field Research will be available!

Community Day Special Research story – Plugging Along. For US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Froakie Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, A Bubbly Disposition.
