Pokemon GO is entering August and a new Community Day is upon us featuring Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokemon.

While Pokemon GO’s calendar is very busy with lots of events taking place, Community Day is always a staple event to mark each month.

Last month, players enjoyed a beautiful time in the sun with Poliwag.

So what can we expect this year? Here’s all you need to know about the August 2023 Community Day in Pokemon GO.

Release Date

The July 2023 Community Day Classic will take place on the 13th of August 2023.

This event will occur from 2PM-5PM local time.

August 2023 Community Day Classic Pokemon

August’s Community Day Classic will feature Froakie.

Froakie, when it’s evolved into Greninja, Froakie’s final evolution, it will learn a new unique Charged Attack called ‘Hydro Cannon‘.

It will do 80 power in Trainer Battles and 90 power in Gyms and Raids.

Starting with the event and continuing afterwards, Greninja will be able to learn the Fast Attack Water Shuriken.

It will do 6 power in Trainer Battles and 10 power in Gyms and Raids.

Frogadier, the evolved form of Froakie, will also appear in four-star raids!

Event Bonuses And Rewards

You can expect the following Event Bonuses:

• 3x Stardust for catching Pokemon
• 2x Candy for catching Pokemon
• 2x Chance for Trainer level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokemon
• 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator during the event period.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
• Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day
• Take a snapshot during Community Day for a surprise!

After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on special four-star Raid Battles featuring Frogadier. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Froakie to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes!

Special Research And Field Research
