The Teal Mask has launched as the first part of the Scarlet and Violet DLC ‘Hidden Treasures of Area Zero’ and one of the many new Pokemon to arrive is Dipplin, the evolved form of Applin. Naturally, many trainers are wondering how to evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Applin is a Pokemon that was introduced in the previous generation of Pokemon and became a fan favourite due to its great design, killer typings and dynamic evolution line.
With Scarlet and Violet’s DLC now upon us, another evolution line has unlocked for Applin.
Here’s how you can get Dipplin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How To Evolve Applin Into Dipplin In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet
Dipplin, like Applin’s other two evolution lines, can be achieved under certain circumstances.
When Applin received a special item in Sword and Shield, it would evolve into one of its two evolutions.
If Applin is exposed to a Tart Apple, it will evolve into Flapple. It will also evolve into Appletun when exposed to a Sweet Apple.
But, when exposed to a Syrupy Apple, Applin will evolve into Dipplin.
Simply open your items menu, click on the Syrupy Apple and give the item to your Applin when it is in your party.

How To Find Syrupy Apples In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet
To find Syrupy Apples, you’ll need to find and travel to the Syrupy Shack.
Head to the Mossfell Confluence, in the bottom-right/south-east part of the map.
You’re looking for a shack next to some Apple Trees.
You can then buy Syrupy Apples from the shack and even catch Applin amongst the trees.
