The M4 is an iconic weapon in Call of Duty history and is in contention to be a new meta weapon in Warzone.
While it’s not top of the charts, it’s easy to obtain and max out the attachments unlike some of the top guns, which are largely DLC weapons.
So what is it you need to build on this assault rifle to make it really shine and give you no recoil?
Here’s the best M4 Loadout and build for Warzone 2.

Best M4 Loadout
With the M4, you’ll want to run the following perk package:
- Scavenger
- Strong Arm
- Fast Hands
- Ghost
As an assault rifle, you’re not likely to have many close-up fights and all of these perks should make your life easier.
Scavenger will give you more ammo when looting, which may be difficult if you’re fighting at long distances and can’t always loot corpses. It’s also handy if you expend a lot of ammo in your fights.
Strong Arm is a nice thing to have to throw your grenades that little bit further to give you even more firepower in long-range fights when you need a little extra to finish off an enemy.
Fast Hands is a nice option for when an enemy is rushing you to be able to switch to a more close ranged weapon in a flash.
Finally, Ghost is a necessity with so many UAVs flying around during the game.
For your grenades, I would take a Frag grenade to synergise well with your Strong Arms perk and a stun grenade to slow down enemies.
